Curse – – Stephen Smith

Curse

by Stephen Smith

Diamonds raining on a greed stricken society

Taking the unnecessary in an unnecessary way

Swarms of sinners indulge their gluttony

Devouring dreams of others since they don’t have any

Men lusting for the women obsessed in vanity

Depraved and absent-minded of the damage they cause

Women so slothful, waiting for a man to give them happiness

Women too prideful to pursue what they want

Both so wrathful when life gives them what they did not ask for

Unable to quell the rage their hearts have conjured

Envious to no conclusion of others happiness and fortune

Focused with such precision that mischief is to what they cling
